The little marvel

RX-100 Project

I never believed in compact camera's to be compentent tool's for neither photo or videography.
All of that changed when the RX-100 came about. The world around me changed. My photography evolved and my intrest in videography grew significantly. Suddenly my tool was a part of me. Not something i had to plan or consider on taking out. Just like my wallet,.. it would never leave my side (read: pants) again.

People B&W

RX-100 in Japan Posted on Thu, August 01, 2013 21:43:57

In the end of the day my favourite subject for a good photograph will always be you, me, granny, the girl next door or simply put; just people. So many types, characters, shapes, emotions, stories; Beautiful, sad, happy, scary, dramatic, shocking, intresting, thought provoking. You name it, we have it all.

On that note i’d like to share a couple of b&w images i took during my last couple of weeks in Japan.

The moment he opened the eyes realizing he’s connection right behind is about to leave without him.

I was fascinated by the silhouettes this view created. Took a couple of shots and decided i like this one the most. The Blur (no focus) turned out to be intented. :p

Love them, love them!!

Not only are they extremely beautiful with their intense colors and long elegant bodies. They also kill/eat mosquito’s! The dragonfly’s favourite lunch actually. How nice of them is that. 🙂

A new beginning

At the moment of writing i am sitting at a desk somewhere in Kanagawa, Japan. The country where this little marvel was envisioned and designed.

About one year ago i was at the same place. Same situation. Altough now with already far more pictures. More memories captured. Simply due the fact, the fact that something is always with me, ready to capture those moments!
